Return and Exchange Policy

At Stitch Studio, we pour all our love and care into creating every product for you. Each piece is handcrafted by artisans, who dedicate their time and skill to bring our designs to life — and we ensure they are fairly rewarded for their craft. Because every item is made to order, we maintain a strict No Return policy.

We encourage all customers to refer to the size chart carefully before placing an order to avoid any size-related concerns. However, we understand that body types differ, and in some cases, you may need an exchange — which we happily accommodate under specific terms.


When Exchanges Are Applicable

Exchanges can be processed only under the following circumstances:

  • If a wrong size has been ordered, you may request an exchange for the same product within 4 days from the date of delivery.
    (In this case, the shipping cost will be borne by the customer.)

  • If an incorrect product or size has been sent by us, we will handle the exchange at no additional shipping cost to the customer.

Since we rely on trusted delivery partners such as DTDC, Delhivery, Blue Dart, and eKart, each exchange involves two-way logistics — reverse pickup from your location and reshipping of the new product. To cover these costs, we request a ₹200 shipping charge from customers for all exchange orders.


How to Initiate an Exchange

Please note:

  • The exchange process will begin only after we receive the original item at our warehouse and it successfully passes the quality check (QC) to confirm it is unused, unwashed, unsoiled, and undamaged.
  • It may take 15–20 working days for us to receive and verify your returned item, and an additional 2–3 business days to ship your replacement.

Please ensure all products are returned in their original packaging, with each item in its individual transparent cover. We are not responsible for damage during transit, and refunds cannot be provided for such cases.


Hygiene and Quality Guidelines

For hygiene and quality reasons, we cannot accept exchanges for products that appear used, washed, or soiled.
Defective or damaged products do not need to be shipped back unless our Customer Experience Team instructs otherwise.

If your exchange request is approved, we’ll arrange a reverse pickup (where available). Once the returned item is received and cleared by QC, we’ll dispatch the exchange item within 2–3 business days.

If reverse pickup service is unavailable at your pincode, we’ll ask you to self-courier the item to our warehouse. In this case, the exchange charge will be ₹100 instead of ₹200, since one leg of shipping is already covered by you.

Damages and Issues

We request all customers to record a video while unboxing the courier package. If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us immediately so we can review and resolve the issue promptly.


Exceptions / Non-Exchangeable Items

Certain products cannot be returned or exchanged, including customized or personalized items.
If you’re unsure about an item, please contact us before placing your order for clarification.


Exchange Terms & Conditions

  • Exchange requests must be made within 4 days of delivery.
  • We reserve the right to reject exchanges if:
    • The product appears used, washed, or soiled, or
    • The damage is not due to our error.
  • Reverse pickup will only be arranged after approval from our Customer Experience Team.
  • Please ensure the original packaging and labels are intact when sending products back.
  • All exchanges incur a ₹200 two-way shipping fee, as mentioned above.
  • Gift wrapping is not available for exchanged items.

  2. Our Customer Support Team will review your request and guide you through the next steps.
  3. Once confirmed, reverse pickup will be arranged within 7 days of approval.

Order Confirmation & Cancellation Policy

  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, our customer service team will call to confirm before shipping.
  • Once an order is cancelled, it cannot be reinstated — a new order must be placed.
  • Orders already in processing cannot be cancelled.
  • For any changes before shipment, please contact us on Instagram (@designsbystitchstudio) at the earliest.
    (Changes cannot be made once the order has been shipped.)
